Sid's son Butch confirmed today that there would be no funeral or memorial service, in accordance with Sid's wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations to either the America Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association in Sid's name (Sidney J. Reade, W0WWH) would be appreciated.
Nadean was informed of Sid's passing on Thursday morning It's believed she fully comprehended her loss. She will be relocated to Fort Collins, Colorado by the end of October to be closer to family.
Cindy, having spent several months here while Sid was still alive, had to return to California to help organize her daughter's wedding. She will not be returning to Nebraska until sometime in November.
