26, 2007. Join us on the air as we use Amateur ra= dio to show
support, and appreciation.
_ARMAD _is an annual _NON - POLITICAL _Amateur Radio P_ublic Service
_project that stands fo= r Amateur Radio Military Appreciation Day.
We work with _National Military Appreciation Month_ during the= month
of May. We also provide other events, and work with other gr= oups as
requested during the year. Amateur Radio Operators from aro= und the
world team up during this joint effort to allow the people f= rom
our communities to gather at public locations such as = shopping
centers, parks, VA hospitals, and sporting events to e= xpress verbal
positive support "LIVE" over two way radio f= or members of the
Military, Veterans, Reserves, National Guard, Retired, = Coalition
Forces, First Responders, and military support groups.&nbs= p; Many of
us have friends, relatives, and neighbors that are active duty= , and
past members of the armed forces. _ARMAD_ give= s us the chance
to support one another, and to express our than= ks and appreciation
to those that sacrifice and serve in the Armed Forces= .
