Subject: [Cq-l] CQ News: New FCC Code Test Rules to Appear in Tomorrow's (1/24) Federal Register
>From the CQ Newsroom...
The National Archives and Records Administration has confirmed that it
intends to publish the FCC's new rules eliminating Morse code testing in
the Amateur service and extending limited HF privileges to all Technicians
tomorrow, January 24, in the Federal Register.
Assuming it sticks to that schedule, the new rules will take effect 30
days later, on February 23, 2007. (If you want to take an FCC code test
just to prove you could pass one, you'll have to do so by Feb. 22)
