QST - QST - QST...
The Douglas County EOC (Call N0EMA) will be activated to assist with
emergency traffic caused by the Hurricane in the south. There are nearly
30,000 messages in the pipe line already.
This operation has received the blessings of both the Sarpy and Douglas
county EOC's.
I need volunteer operators who will be willing to pass traffic both to
and from the afflicted area. We will be equipped to run phone patches
should the need arise and the stations amplifier is on line so we will
have lots of power.
In the beginning I have no idea of how many hours we should plan on
manning the station and we will no doubt have to adapt to the
requirements.
I am gathering names, phone numbers and email addresses at this time for
anyone interested in helping get the station up and running. Douglas
county folks, Sarpy county folks, SWIARC folk, Washington and Dodge
county, all of ya..
