Hello all, see below about this years Nebraska QSO Party. I would like to
run it from the dungeon again but would like a little help this time. My
spouse was not amused last time.. :-)
I will contact Ken AJ0A and get permission to use the EOC.
I would also like to get K0AIR on the air for an hour or two before this
event to try and get enough 10-10 numbers to qualify for our own 10-10. I
think I can get WA6POZ to issue one fast. I'll bet if someone operates
K0AIR for a couple of hours the rest of us could scare up 10 folks to pass a
10-10 number..

if you went to do the Nebraska Qso party, respond either to this e-mail
address or to w9hzc@cox.net <mailto:w9hzc@cox.net> . If there are enough
folks I will work out a schedule..
Thanks all, have a good weekend...

Subject: Nebraska QSO Party 2002
The Heartland DX Association of Nebraska & Iowa
Invites YOU To
*** The Nebraska QSO Party ***
April 27th & 28th
1700 zulu Saturday to 1700 zulu Sunday
You just haven't partied until you've gone Cow Tipping at 2am Saturday Nite!
For complete rules, details and paperwork go to:
http://www.qsl.net/hdxa/neqso/ <http://www.qsl.net/hdxa/neqso/>
Cow Tipping not required or even recommended unless you have the right
boots. ;^)
If there are any Nebraska clubs that are going to be active, please send me
the info on them (call, county, club name, ops, etc...). The same for
anyone going MOBILE this year!
There are 93 counties in Nebraska but, just like years past, we don't look
for all of them to be active. We just don't have that many hams here, and
even fewer contesters; but you don't have to be a contester to participate!
It's a fun contest, and quite a few of us end up ragchewing every now &
then.
If you live in or near Nebraska and have mobile HF capabilities, get out
there and have some fun running counties. We even have one ham flying in
from Oregon who's planning a mobile expedition through some fairly rare
counties this NQP.
Special Stations to look out for:
---------------------------------------------
W7DRA - Mike from Oregon will be mobile. Tentative schedule is Boone,
Madison, Stanton, Cuming and Burt counties.
K0AIR - Strategic Air Command (SAC) Memorial Club may be operating again
from Douglas County's EOC underground.
NI0DX - We'll let you know if anyone decides to use the club call after our
April HDXA Dinner.
With FQP & NQP going on at the same time, work all of the Florida stations
that you can then sort them afterward and send in all the logs. Just Call
"CQ N-F QP" or maybe F-N QP! Just work it!
