I didn't have full information about this at our annual meeting, and
once I did, it fell together rather quickly. No expenditure of SACMARC
funds was necessary to implement this and it was accomplished under my
discretion as President and Webmaster/Mailing List Maintainer.
As of today, the SACMARC World-Wide Web Home Page may be accessed using:
All SACMARC officers and trustees have E-mail aliases using this domain
as follows:
President president@sacmarc.org pschleck@novia.net
Vice President vp@sacmarc.org KC0AUL@aol.com
Treasurer treasurer@sacmarc.org sheffieldj@aol.com
Secretary secretary@sacmarc.org KC0ASN@aol.com
Property Manager property@sacmarc.org kb0zzt@usa.net
Newsletter Editor editor@sacmarc.org KC0ASN@aol.com
K0AIR Trustee k0air@sacmarc.org pschleck@novia.net
K0GRL Trustee k0grl@sacmarc.org rgertig@neonramp.com
Use of these aliases is completely optional. They are intended mostly
for external convenience, as well as portability when officers change.
Note that these are forwarding aliases, and not actual login accounts.
Because of the way this was set up, the mailing list may also be
accessed as:
sacmarc@sacmarc.org (Messages)
sacmarc-request@sacmarc.org (Subscription/Unsubscription Requests)
and all current Novia subscribers (like myself) who have E-mail
addresses like:
<username>@novia.net
may also specify their E-mail addresses like:
<username>@sacmarc.org
Note that you must have a Novia account to do this (I was able to get
Novia to set up a small number of sacmarc.org addresses for the
officers, but others will have to sign up for Novia service to get the
same).
All previously-given addresses that end with novia.net continue to
work. The Internet Domain Name Service (DNS) will simply resolve to the
same hosts for either novia.net or sacmarc.org.
Any questions regarding these new services may be directed to me.
Much thanks go to Novia Internetworking for providing Internet services
for the SACMARC for free or at reduced cost.
