All of our currently-paid members should have received a letter in the
mail regarding amendment of our By-Laws as proposed at our last business
meeting. I have already received 4 of the 18 ballots back. There is a
generous deadline of September 21st, but you are encouraged to send in
your ballot as soon as possible to guard against forgetting, or
misplacing your ballot. The proposal will be decided by a simple
majority of returned ballots, as provided for in the By-Laws (see
http://www.novia.net/~pschleck/sacmarc/bylaws.html).
Balloting has been anonymized as much as practically possible. Ballots
were numbered and initialed by me, but only for authentication purposes
(to guard against the outside chance of ballot stuffing). I shuffled
the ballots and turned them over before placing them in the envelopes,
so I don't know who has what number.
If you are an active member, and did not get a ballot in the mail,
please let me know as soon as possible.
