In response to Director Schmidt's invitation to come down to the Museum
and do a site survey, I would propose Monday, May 17th, at 10 AM.
Mr. Schmidt said the staff would be available most days if we called
ahead, and most of the SACMARC members who expressed interest in doing
this site survey said that such a weekday morning would be acceptable to
them.
I'll go ahead and call Mr. Schmidt early this week and confirm the
availability of the 17th. In the meantime, those who expressed
interest, please get back with me again and confirm whether or not you
wish to attend. Obviously, I'd like to avoid an excessively *LARGE*
delegation, but 2 or 3 qualified people would probably be about right.
Individuals with portable experiences, particularly antennas and
feedlines, would be most welcome.
Directions to the SAC Museum:
Take I-80 West from Omaha, or East from Lincoln, to exit 426 (in
Ashland, east of Waverly and west of Gretna). Signs at the end of the
exit ramp will direct you to the impressive-looking facility. Talk-in
will be on 147.48 MHz simplex.
