Due to a last-minute work-related obligation requiring out-of-town
travel, I was not able to preside at our quarterly meeting this month.
I was able to get an agenda and associated paperwork to our remaining
officers such that they could conduct the meeting in my absence.
Unfortunately, due to miscommunication, and a late-arriving Vice
President, a quorum was determined to not be present at our announced
meeting time, and an informational meeting was conducted instead.
Because of this, the following items of business were not taken care of,
and will be deferred to the next quarterly meeting in September:
- Election of a new Treasurer and updating of bank records (though I
will immediately follow up with the bank to confirm that at least our
mailing address was changed)
- Reimbursement for newsletter expenses by our Newsletter Editor
However, we will likely continue with plans for the Air Force
Anniversary QSO Party, as that is something that is arguably an "ongoing
resolution" type of event (i.e., something that we plan to do every
year). I'll announce this event to the mailing list in a separate
message.
I'll have the minutes of our June informational meeting posted as soon
as they are provided to me by the club Secretary.
