Brian Zdan (KM0Y) is our attorney, who is working for us pro-bono (as
the local volunteer counsel for the American Radio Relay League)
providing legal advice for our non-profit incorporation. I just sent
him two signed copies of our final Articles of Incorporation (keeping
one signed copy for ourselves). He will submit them to the Nebraska
Secretary of State shortly, then arrange to have the required legal
notice in the Bellevue Leader. He estimates that the filing fee will be
$20, and the legal notice about $50. He said he will cover the fees and
bill us later.
Since the Bellevue ARC has already "run the gauntlet" with the State by
recently revising their Articles, and we've learned from all of the
pitfalls and errors they've encountered, the SACMARC Articles should be
pretty well greased to go all the way through without objection (and
need for resubmission) by the State. We'll keep our fingers crossed.
