K8AIR

I just received word from Chuck Gauder, W8XG, that he is preparing to
submit the paperwork to apply for K8AIR. It seems that Chuck was the
former station custodian of K8AIR, when it was assigned to the 2046th
Communications Squadron at Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio back in the
1950's. In addition to the connection with the base, there's also the
possibility of affiliation with the USAF Museum there.
