Excellent! Nice to know our contacts from allied SAC organizations are
looking out for us.

I agree that we should follow up on this great opportunity. Even if it
doesn't completely pan out, it's good publicity. More information about
past amateur radio operation on "Fifi" can be found starting on page 40
of April 1997 QST.

Sure, what are de-facto leaders for? (I wouldn't have initially
suggested this whole callsign/SAC history project unless I thought that
it was both worthwhile *and* something that I wanted to spend a fair
amount of time over at least the first year doing. Always proud to
serve...)

I called Bob and Mildred and left a message on their answering machine.
Look forward to their response.

John will take care of this as we discussed last night at the BARC VE
session.

Yes. I'm sure we can put together a few people. Further feedback from
John indicates that this will be a major garage-cleaning exercise with
most items being salvage. However, there's likely to be enough gems in
the collection to make it all worthwhile. This is likely something we
can complete in a dedicated, one (or possibly two) day team-effort.

Or possibly Rod Blocksome, K0DAS (a high-level manager at Rockwell
Collins who was the company contact for Dr. Keene for his QST article;
Rod is also currently authoring a book about Art Collins). Was going to
contact him eventually with regard to the SAC Museum exhibit.
Robb and John, thanks for bringing these excellent suggestions to the
table. As John notes, these are exactly the kinds of projects for which
we were created.
